Search Console loves vague statuses: Discovered – currently not indexed. Crawled – currently not indexed. Spamming Request Indexing won't fix a thin page. First make sure you meet the basic requirements, then use IndexMe to resubmit with a straight face.
Why pages sit outside the index
Sometimes Google just hasn't gotten to you — new site, huge crawl queue (crawl budget again). Sometimes the content is weak or duplicated. Sometimes canonicals and URL parameters make a mess. Sometimes the server hiccuped when Googlebot visited. And sometimes earlier submits failed for the reasons in why indexing gets rejected.
Fix, then submit
- Improve the page (unique content, real internal links).
- Confirm 200, no noindex, sensible canonical.
- Keep it in the sitemap.
- Resubmit in the dashboard — one URL or a batch.
- Leave auto-indexing on so you're not stuck in manual mode forever.
