Google guidance says give it at least a week after a sitemap or indexing request before assuming doom. New domains often need longer. A new URL on a trusted site can show up in a day or two if you're lucky.

Rough ranges we see

• New page on an established site: hours to a few days after a clean notify.
• Brand-new domain: often 1–4 weeks for the first meaningful coverage.
• Big backlog with weak links: weeks, sometimes longer, until crawl budget catches up.

Those aren't SLAs. Crawl → index → serve has its own queue. You can't buy a guaranteed slot. You can stop making Google hunt for the URL.

How to not waste the wait

Submit the sitemap. Link new pages from something already indexed. Use URL Inspection sparingly. For volume, push through IndexMe and the Indexing API from the dashboard — same idea as sending links faster. Check status with link SEO checker later, not every hour.
