You publish a page. You check Google Search Console two days later. Still nothing. A week later? Maybe "Discovered – currently not indexed." That's normal for a lot of sites, especially newer ones. Google is busy. Your URL is one of billions — see how Google Search works for the crawl → index → serve path.

So how do you send links to Google faster without doing something sketchy? You stop relying on chance discovery and you start notifying Google on purpose.

Why the wait happens

Google finds pages through links, sitemaps, and old crawl paths. A sitemap helps, but it doesn't put your URL at the front of the line. The URL Inspection “Request indexing” button in Search Console can nudge a few pages — then you hit the daily limit and you're done for the day.

Stuff people try that barely helps

Updating the sitemap again and again. Tweeting the link. Using random "ping" tools. None of that is a real indexing pipeline. Social shares might get a crawler's attention once in a while. They won't replace a proper submission when you have dozens of URLs sitting around — Google's own docs still put XML sitemaps in the discovery bucket, not the priority lane.

If you only have three pages, fine — use Search Console. If you need to push a bunch of links, you'll burn an afternoon and still not finish.

What we do differently at IndexMe
