How to Get New Blog Posts Indexed by Google Quickly

Illustration of new blog posts being indexed by Google quickly

Fresh posts go cold if Google finds them late. Build a tiny habit after you hit Publish.

You spent hours on a post. It goes live. Then… silence. Two weeks later it finally shows up when the topic is already stale. That's a process problem, not a writing problem. Notify Google when you publish — we wrote about the same idea in realtime link submission.

The habit that works

  1. Publish on a normal public URL (no accidental noindex).
  2. Make sure the sitemap includes it.
  3. Drop the URL into IndexMe (or wait for sitemap sync).
  4. Submit it through the Indexing API.
  5. Or skip the click forever with auto-indexing.

Small things that help

Link to the new post from somewhere people already visit — homepage, category, last week's article. Don't publish empty outlines and expect Google to care (Search still needs something worth indexing). And stop burning Search Console clicks on every draft; use IndexMe for volume so you aren't fighting the daily console limit.

Sitting on a year of old posts? Bulk them, then keep the publish habit for new ones. Stuck? Say hello.
